The tour to the British Rock

`The Rock´ of Gibraltar is British owned territory on the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula, because of its location, at the gateway to the mediterranean; it is steeped in history, and well worth a visit.

Since the Treaty of Utrecht in 1712, Gibraltar is a colony of the British Empire and in the 20th century it became a member of the Commonwealth.

After crossing the border we will enjoy a 1 ½ hour minibus tour.

Gibraltar has been conquered by practically every civilization that was on the Iberian Peninsula: Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Moors, etc. as it is one of the most important strategic - military points of the Mediterranean.

Interesting attractions that you can visit include the caves of St. Michael's, Europa Point and the Barbary Apes.

Finally you have free time and can visit and shop on the famous Main Street. Here you have the possibility to get bargains as Gibraltar is a tax-free zone.
